Pet Tales Rescue is a network of fosters and volunteers that work to find the perfect homes for animals in need.

Our cats and dogs are housed in foster homes and treated like family. This gives us the advantage of getting to know each one as an individual; once we have an understanding of their specific personality and needs, we can find them the perfect home!

Name: Baxter Age: Approximately 3 months old (estimated date of birth: 11/15/2024) Breed: Pit bull/Mastiff mix at best guess(Black & Brown Brindle) Temperament: Friendly with other dogs, unknown with kids and other animals Baxter’s story began on a cold winter night when he, along with two of his siblings, was found shivering outside in freezing temperatures. Abandoned and alone, they were rescued just in time, but Baxter’s past doesn’t define him—he’s a pup full of love and resilience. With his striking black and brown brindle coat, and a distinct white patch on his chest, Baxter is as unique as he is sweet. Since being rescued, Baxter has shown just how affectionate and playful he can be. He quickly warms up to new canine friends, wagging his tail and inviting them to play. His sweet nature shines through in every interaction, though his experience with kids and other animals is still a mystery. Baxter is currently working on his potty training and making great progress with a little patience and consistency. Baxter is looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, warm, and loved. Hi, I’m Cosmo! I'm a nearly all black female kitten, born October 18th, 2024. I traveled from the South with my sister Luna, and now I’m looking for my perfect forever home. I’m a little more shy than Luna, but if you have treats, we’ll be best friends in no time! I love wand toys and playing—I'm still working on my best moves, but I purr the whole time! Hi, I’m Luna! I’m a nearly all-black (just a couple little white spots) shorthair kitten, born on October 18, 2024. I came from the South with my sister, Cosmo. I may be a little shy at first, but give me a some time, and I’ll be your best friend! I’m super playful, always on the move, and I love to chat—I have lots to say! I get along great with kids and don’t take long to warm up to dogs. While I’m usually busy playing, I do have a sweet side, and when I’m ready, I’ll snuggle up for some cuddles. Macchiato * playful & cuddly *

Macchiato & her sister Mocha were surrendered to rescue because the family had too many pets and were going to throw them outside. Thankfully Pet Tales scooped them up because they are way too sweet for a life outdoors! They were born in July of 2024 and are the perfect kitten age. Still playful and silly but a bit more calm and cuddly. Both girls are incredibly brave and friendly. They love any attention- you can pet them anywhere. Belly rubs included! Both girls are floppers and often show their bellies. When you give belly rubs they get into biscuit mode and dramatically wave their front legs around making biscuit moves. Macchiato is super friendly and wants all the attention. She loves to talk and will hold a whole conversation with you with little peeps and meows. She just loves pets and curling up in a lap. She also loves toys on a string and rolling in cat nip as well. Macchiato is a beautiful solid black cat with golden eyes. She has very soft fur. She’s a petite and lanky girl, currently weighing 6.5 pounds. Her mom is not even 7 pounds so she may not get much bigger. Macchiato is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Our Process

1. Rescue

When we’re contacted about an animal in need, we work quickly to determine the best course of action. If that course means coming into our rescue, we mobilize right away to secure the animal and place it safely within a foster home.

4. Sterilization

Spaying and neutering is something we feel very strongly about here at Pet Tales. EVERY animal we take in is fixed (sterilized) prior to finding their new home. We work hard to educate our community about the benefits of neutering their pet, and we believe this type of education is key to reducing pet overpopulation and overall shelter numbers.

2. Foster

Once we’ve successfully placed the pet within a foster home, the road to adoption begins! Their new foster will make sure they’re comfortable, clean, and given ample decompression time. From there, the foster will evaluate their personality and assess their specific needs.

5. Find a Home

The best part of all! Once our foster pets are ready mentally and medically, we begin the process of finding them the perfect forever-home. This begins with potential adopters filling out our online application. Once we have screened the applicant and determined whether their lifestyle seems like a good fit for the desired animal, we set up a meet and greet. If the meetup is successful and both parties are in agreement about adopting the pet, we finalize the adoption!

Pet Tales Rescue was established in 2010…

By people who had spent several years volunteering with other rescues. They decided to take their many years of knowledge and experience out on their own to help find homes for abused and abandoned pets. We are committed to finding loving, permanent homes that will provide the love, companionship, and quality care that every animal deserves.
