Cora

Adoptable Medium Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Hi, my name is Cora and I am a super sweet American Staffordshire, who is estimated to be about 4-6 years old. I came to Pet Tales under weight, and thankful to the Pet Tales supporters who sent my foster family some yummy food and probiotics to help get healthy. I am happy to say that I’ve gained over 15 lbs since coming into care in early June, and have got a nice healthy coat too! I’m a little bit over 40lbs now, and am just finishing up my heartworm treatment.

I LOVE my people, so much so that I follow them from room to room to see what they are up to, and I would love to be your new buddy. I enjoy my walks outside and sniffing out all of the new smells. I will crack you up and make piggy noises/grunts when I sniff! Did I mention I walk rally good on a leash? If I get distracted at all, a simple “come on” will get me back in track. I know “sit” “lay down” “shake” (both paws!) and will go in to my kennel when told “in”. I’m not too big into toys at all, but I do LOVE my toy rope to play tug of war.

I’m kennel trained, which I keep clean, and am housebroken too, which my foster family helped me with. Please know that you will have to help keep me on a good schedule so I don’t have accidents. I’ve met new people friends as young as 2 (they are just my height so I can lick their face!) and live with a 9 year old. I’m really good around kids but I likely would do best with older kids because all I want to do is lick little kids and give them all the kisses! I haven’t been around cats and would require slow intros to new dog friends, but I will be honest, I would love your full attention and be your only doggie.

Cora is available for adoption through Pet Tales Rescue in Grand Rapids, MI. Please go to www.pettalesrescue.com and fill out an application. Her adoption fee is $235 plus $15 for the microchip for a total of $250 payable by cash or card through the rescue’s website.

* Pet Tales Rescue does not have a physical shelter location as all of our pets are in foster homes. To meet Leila or one of our other fosters, you will need to fill out an application. After your application is reviewed, one of our volunteers will contact you to set up a time to meet her. Thank you for adopting, not shopping!
