Artemis

Pit Bull Terrier - Adult - Female
Adoptable Medium Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

My name is Artemis but everyone calls me Artie! I was surrendered by a citizen who found me as a stray in Genesee County. Being a pitty with a torn ACL gave me a very small chance of adoption, and Pet Tales gave me that chance!

This is where the adventure for my forever family began. I have been with my foster family for over a year. My ACL tear took a long time to heal, but I can now go for (short) walks, and do my daily zoomies in a nice fenced in yard. The doctors that have seen my leg do say in the cold I will always have sore joints because of my arthritis, so I may need medicine and special treats.

I live with kitty brothers and sisters as well as small dogs and one big dog brother. I leave the kitties alone-they don’t interest me. I sometimes play with my big brother, but human love is my favorite! I love to snuggle up on a warm couch or bed and nap with my foster parents or visitors. My foster mom says it took me a little to get used to human interaction…I am still a little nervous in crowds and avoid strangers but I am always open to new friendships.

I love carrots, short walks in the park, squeaky toys, warm blankets, and doing zoomies in the house and outdoors. Because I’m a very special girl, my foster parents want me to go live with the very best family where I will have all the love, cuddles, and carrots that I deserve!

I am a short, tiny 48lb girl! I’m up to date on my vaccines, spayed, and even microchipped!

Artie is available for adoption through Pet Tales Rescue in Grand Rapids, MI. Please go to www.pettalesrescue.com and fill out an application. Her adoption fee is $235 plus $15 for the microchip for a total of $250 payable by cash or card through the rescue’s website.

* Pet Tales Rescue does not have a physical shelter location as all of our pets are in foster homes. To meet Artie or one of our other fosters, you will need to fill out an application. After your application is reviewed, one of our volunteers will contact you to set up a time to meet the pet.

Thank you for adopting, not shopping!
